Samsung Galaxy S24: dual-chip strategy Confirmed and integration with Artificial Intelligence

Contrary to the practices of previous years, Samsung has chosen a unified approach for its 2023 flagship smartphone, avoiding the division between the Qualcomm and Exynos markets.
The S23 series introduced only the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, in a dedicated variant for Galaxy.
But the situation will change with the new year.
Confirmation has come from Qualcomm’s leadership: the Galaxy S24, in its standard and Plus variants, will be powered by both the Exynos 2400 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 “for Galaxy.”
However, the Ultra model will only feature the latter, so it is assumed that the Qualcomm processor variant will appear in more markets.
2024 is shaping up to be a year focused on the integration of generative artificial intelligence in smartphones.
Now that more chips can support it, Samsung seems interested in this idea, and we may see a generative AI similar to ChatGPT in the upcoming Galaxy S24.
The first Samsung Phone with Artificial Intelligence
So far, Google has fully embraced artificial intelligence with its devices. Google has also made AI a distinctive marketing lever, in stark contrast to Apple’s approach.
The Galaxy S24 will be the first Samsung phone to use advanced artificial intelligence, thanks to the compatibility of both Exynos 2400 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
The vast majority of modern smartphones are powered by chips capable of supporting integrated generative artificial intelligence. It would have been a mistake not to seize this opportunity.
Note that Samsung already has its virtual assistant, named Bixby, but it is unclear whether the company intends to keep it.
As for the practical use of this generative artificial intelligence in the new smartphones, it appears that the entire process will take place in “on-device” mode. This approach avoids the need for an Internet connection.
Samsung Galaxy S24. Snapdragon or Exynos?
Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon has stated that the majority of markets will adopt the Snapdragon chip in the Galaxy S24.
It will be very interesting to see its performance compared to the Exynos 2400 and the plain Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Especially in light of the recent success of the Exynos 2200, which demonstrated superior performance on the Galaxy S23 FE compared to the Galaxy S22.
The Galaxy S24 is expected to be launched in January 2024, so it’s just around the corner.
In particular, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which is expected to be the flagship of the range, is highly anticipated. We are eager to discover all the new features introduced by Samsung for its flagship smartphone in the upcoming year.
Other features
Furthermore, there are rumors that the Galaxy S24 will have an improved camera system with advanced image processing capabilities.
The phone is also expected to have a larger battery capacity for extended usage.
Samsung is known for its high-quality displays, and the Galaxy S24 is likely to feature a stunning AMOLED screen with vibrant colors and high resolution.
